Tuna box 290 yen on this vertical chalk board... but later I found out they kindly ask you to order 2 drinks if you want this.
Unfortunately no English menus. Get out that Google Lens translator.
Basketball World Cup being held in Okinawa!
Bottled beeru was rather small.
The waiter kept directing everyone to the specials on this board.
Of course just like the Shiinamachi branch I had to get the San-Ten-Mori!
So about 2 weeks ago I took a friend to the Shiinamachi branch and we ordered a few standard plates... he totally said the Ikebukuro spot was much better. Dude never has a positive thing to say about any place I suggest... Grrrr. I guess if your family net worth is over $100m then you get that celeb attitude.
Now this is the Shiinamachi Shop San-Ten-Mori I had previously... there is more volume!
Ikebukuro branch kinda skimped on the volume of Maguro but the Chu-Toro was great.
Only 1 slice of seaweed. Dude...
Remember to add shoyu and a bit of wasabi to this white daikon radish... its like a bed of salad below the sashimi.
The chef was around 30... very young staff here.
Overall its a nice standing maguro specialty izakaya that doesn't charge an otoshi fee. I arrived exactly when people were entering and leaving so the sole waiter was bombarded with orders and check requests... but when it calmed down everything went smoothly. FYI restroom is located in the game arcade located in the building.
On the way to the station I spotted the infamous DJ Koo from TRF! His group was lined outside of Tsunagi Ramen. https://www.youtube.com/@kootube0808
