Who goes out of their way to eat in Hoya!? Friend of mine lives in the neighborhood so decided to check out the restaurant scene. Randomly picked Ichikoro Yakitori located across from the train station.
Specials written on the chalk board.
Counter seating view.
Ding ding... Guess when it gets busy.
No English menus.
Now this looked extremely familiar... Asked the young Yakitori chef about the Ichikoro ramen and he said it was the same group company as 156 Ichikoro Ramen in Azabu Juban! Cool...
This seems to be the most famous item here. Seasoned grilled chicken skin on a stick!
Kinda tasted like very flavorful chewy meat. Not too bad.
Yakitori was very dry and small... stopped with this one order.
U shaped counter seating with 2 small tables in the back.
Between the smoke and tiny dry yakitori I don`t think I will ever return... But the chef was super nice.
