Open 24hours a day and in the wee hours of the morning I find myself unfortunately having breakfast at Hidakao... Yeah, we don't get pancakes or bacon as choices out here.
A welcoming sight for anyone with limited Japanese skills.
I went for the item in the middle "Bakudan (means BOMB) Itame (Stir-Fry) Teishoku (Complete Meal)" or you can order it as "Tanpin (only the main dish)"
Lots of counter and a few table seats.
Cushy stools.
There it is... a massive Pork Kimchee Stir-Fry... da BOMB. If you are in desperate need of a high vegetable intake then this is surely the one for 650yen (490yen with only the main dish).
I haven't been to this franchise in about 1.5 years but this place seasoned the dish perfectly... it was very flavorful with the red spicy paste.
Soup I believe thats used in their ramen... flavorful.
Some Chinese pickles...
Deep rich flavor... Don't normally say this about franchise spots but I thought this was unusually delicious. I'm more of a thick flavor lover vs something light... similar to the heavily oily Tonkotsu Ramen vs the light Shio Ramen.
The damage was 650yen (Tax included) and of course in the high hourly pay that is Tokyo no need to leave tips for the friendly waitress. (Camera used Panasonic Lumix LX5)
Oh, have to share this... Had some pretty amazing 130yen Chu-Toro at Gatten Sushi earlier in the evening... It seems to be a hit and miss but I highly suggest going on a Saturday vs Friday. Seems on busier evenings the sushi isn't as big and the quality can vary. But perfection this night!
