Original choice for our group was to check out this 200-300yen food/drinks Tapa's spot in Sakuradai but they couldn't accommodate us so Yas suggested a spot around the corner... Little did I know it was a restaurant specializing in raw Horse meat.
Fish on Fire!
Pork Kimchee wrap
Fluffy egg
Behind Yas there is a L shaped counter with a few lone diners.
Their grapefruit sour was fresh... no liqueur here.
Gyoza
Japanese love chilled Tomato's...
And here it was. Several types of raw Horse meat but I just couldn't bring myself to eating this... too sad.
Waiter explaining the different cuts.
Mon-chans first time to try it... said I probably didn't need to eat it.
380yen ice cream box grab... Shun's try.
Then Tomo gave it a try... he's easily over 180cm and big hands... but still couldn't break the record of 14 pieces.
Overall mediocre at best but beware when with Japanese the bill usually is evenly divided (for girls its less) and as you know in Japan... we don't drive so a few of the guys kept downing the 500yen tiny sake glasses like there was no tomorrow. The more you drink and eat the better off you are! Thus drunk people make out the best. Oh the staff of guys here were a really motley crew... One guy had tats, another I'll name hunchback of Notre Dame with blue hair, a beady eyed bartender and finally a middle aged dude that looked like he was once in a Punk Ska band.
