Where do you take a group of 10 people including 6 visitor from the US? My super foodie client normally goes amazing but just too many people to hit up anything memorable so we headed to his regular watering hole in Ebisu
Happened to be his Bday and the owner popped open a complimentary sparking wine? Champagne?
Price point for drinks were rather high. Bottled Sapporo Red Star 750 yen...
Teriyaki Bonjiri! How can you not order chicken butt.
Let that cold ninhonshu over flow into the plate please! Thats customer service.
Maybe its a Japanese company thing but we are randomly put on the spot to say something before a kanpai cheers... guess its not the norm in the US. Guest got lot for words.
A place with a little bit of everything and it really got packed with regulars on this Wednesday night. If you want to meet locals definitely hang out at the bar... super friendly service and quick! But just one point as a foodie... the dishes were very mediocre so its all about the company you keep and the alcohol at this spot. Smiles and Cheers... this is Hanayuki.
