KICHIJOJI: Asahi Beer Hall... huge selection of wines, big beers on tap and the occasional guitarist

Friends decided to try Kichijoji on a Tuesday night... the owner of this spot also owns Moscow Standing Bar , Yakitori Te'chan and one more spot next door.

Big mug beers.

Cheese platter... not so much for 1,300yen.

Friendly waiter from Nepal.

This was great!  The steak cubes were super melty tender along with the stir fried mushrooms.

Bottled wines start from around 1,800yen.

You can also buy some import items too....

The special Katsu-Sandwiches were quite fatty... not so much meat.

Wandering Guitarist

Overall a great place but be careful for the live musician and who you randomly talk to... my friend was chatting with a girl and she kept asking him for drinks and also to keep tipping the musician 1,000yen per song.  Don't suggest going on the weekdays... hit up a Friday or Saturday where there is a more diverse interesting crowd.
