Seiyu supermarket (backed by Wal-Mart) down the street sells many varieties of Corokke's for 49yen but I was very tempted to try this little mom & pop shop.
Starts and 90yen... there is filet Scottish Egg, filet katsu, basic Corokke, fish fry, chicken katsu, ham katsu and menchi katsu.
Picked up one Corokke and one Menchi Katsu (think its either ground beef, pork or a mix of both)
How can I go wrong if a little old lady in a kimono was also buying corokke here.
Both shapes were perfectly oval... no unique impefections.
Took one bite of the standard potato corokke... hmm... not much flavor and really quite boring.
Now for the Menchi-Katsu... yup... equally boring but I should have expected this with their lowly foodie ranking of 3.03 points. Back to Seiyu's 49 yen Corokke's for me.!
