Tokyo Belly: KAMIITABASHI: Hungry Heaven... Friendly Chef and Waitress suggested MEXICO with Avocado! Yum!!

Its been nearly two months since my last visit to Hungry Heaven and was so so craving a Chili Burger!  BUT!! They ran out of chili... seem it takes them a few hours to make it, chill it then prep for burgers all from scratch.

So the friendly crew recommended the MEXICO Burger with: Home made Mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions, jalapeno's, salsa sauce, tortilla chips, cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese.

Lunch set with drink is only 900yen... I also got the avocado topping for an extra 150yen.

Shop is staffed by 2 people (Chef and Waitress).  Waitress was hard at work preparing the burgers for the day.

About 6 counter seats...

YUM!  Salsa sauce was homemade and super flavorful, bread thick and had a nice chewiness to it and of course the very very juicy beef patty... :)

Just enough Jalapeno's

No Smoking inside... sweet.

This place is just hands down good... I've never been disappointed but the thing is after I started going to Hungry Heaven my venture into other Burger shops have come to a near halt... even for my previous favorite The Great Burger in Harajuku.  If you want a great burger over super friendly service then hit up this branch or the Hungry Heaven in Meguro. http://tokyobelly.blogspot.jp/2011/12/meguro-hungry-heaven-hamburger-holy.html

HOYA: Ramen Kagetsu **9.13.2013 NEW OPEN**... Friendly staff~

Brand spanking new Ramen Gagetsu in Hoya... friend suggested we check it out and enter we did. I've seen this franchise occasionally in Tokyo but never ventured inside... I always prefer non-franchise ramen spots.

Staff to the rescue... she said the most popular item was the top left corner button.

We both ordered the most popular item in the shop "Tou-Ten-Ninki-#1." Only 620yen!

Lots of toppings.

Most excellent :)

Noodles were nice and chewy

It was a pretty good bowl of ramen... can't complain and might be back.

Free spicy greens...

Lots of counter seating and table seating too...

Friendly ramen chef in orange and the manager in the black T-shirt.

Free toppings and even beer tickets :).  Its so nice to dine in a brand new restaurant... if you ever spot Kagetsu in Tokyo give it a try.

EBISU: Kushi-Tei...cozy, friendly, PRICEY! Doh...

Met up with a great friend I met during my MBA and some of his business colleagues from the DBJ http://www.dbj.jp/en/ ... asked where and what time.  One of the few occasions that I don't plan the evening :)

I arrived about 30 minutes late and boom... this arrived. HUGE sticks of kushi asparagus sticks...

5 types of dipping sauces...

This evenings Otoshi (automatic appetizer) was fresh chilled veggies.

Some tasty Motsu-nikomi...

Beers start from 600yen... sake from 700yen for a glass... and we never slowed down the entire evening.

And so 4 guys... 3 hours... 27,000yen!  Once again we managed to spend about $300 between the 4 of us. Our last adventure at Suju Dining had the same outcome: http://tokyobelly.blogspot.jp/2013/02/shibuya-hikarie-suju-dining-smooth.html

No shoes inside the restaurant but when we left there were al lined up.  Overall it was a really great spot very near Ebisu Station (about a block from http://whatthedickens.jp/ live British pub).  Service was quick and super friendly, food great great using excellent ingredients but be ware if you are a drinker the tab will blow up on ya here...  I won't be back but definitely recommend it to anyone.
