NAKAMURABASHI: Nagahamaya Kyushu Tonkotsu Ramen... messy shop with great combo deals. (Sony RX100)

I'm on a ramen roll with these construction guys... but home renovation was completed today and off I went to Nagahamaya.

Different combo sets.  We both went for the Gyoza Set plus 80 yen for seasoned boiled egg.

Interesting sign on the wall... you can request your noodles to be boiled between 3 to 60 seconds.

This guy put on every free topping that was sitting on the table...

... and then he said it was too spicy.  If you spot spicky pickled green minced veggies on the table be aware its extremely spicy!

This was all me.. I usually add the free toppings halfway through.  Usually like to enjoy the flavor before mixing things up.

Gyoza set!

Very standard tonkotsu ramen... won't impress.

Don't think these are made in-house.  Most likely the 80 yen eggs are pre-boiled at a factory somewhere and just added to the ramen.

What a mess this kitchen was... I'd be worried about cockroaches.
Restaurant was staffed by 2 young Chinese people...  common to see non-Japanese at franchise type ramen spots.

My favorite car!  Honda Civic Type-R spotting across the street.

OIZUMIGAKUEN: Harutaya Izakaya... great food, speedy service and perfect on a budget. (Sony RX100)

Was at the park practicing a little ukulele then headed off for dinner!  Was initially going to hit up my favorite yakitori all you can eat and drink for 1,500 yen spot but it closed down!  A sad day in the Covid19 Era.

So walked over to Oizumi Gakuen for a very reasonable izakaya! Yakitori starts at only 90 yen per piece.

Asahi bottled beer is all me!

Cabbage with mayo and miso dip.

Food Menu. Everything is under 500 yen!

Drink Menu!  Draft beer 420 and bottle 480 yen.

Tsukune was huuuge and juicy!  Probably the best I ever had.

Japanese love ham katsu... this had a bit of cheese inside.

Fish kushi

Pork... a bit dry but the dip was tasty.

Garlic and my favorite Bonjiri (Chicken butt or Chicken tail)

Nice large L shaped counter if you are alone.

And closed with Hoppy!  Its like a non-alcoholic beer mixed with shochu.  One bottle will get you about 3 servings... just ask for "Naka" and they refill the glass with shochu.  Just mix to taste.

The uni waitresses were super attentive and overall everything was very good!  I will be back!
