I was at Tokyo Night Market with a friend who always craves ramen before heading home and I had noooo idea where to do in Harajuku. Its definitely not a ramen town... think rents are too high.
The prices have gone up by 1.5x! I got the least expensive bowl for 890 yen... previously this was only 600 yen.
Very very big L-shaped counter seating with views of the chef.
This is it! My poverty 九州じゃんがら マイルド豚骨 tonkotsu ramen selection... there were much higher price point bowls.
The noodles reminded me of angel hair pasta but it got so clumpy...Instead of slurping nice mouth fulls you were basically chomping on a round mound of noodles.
Added a bit of sesame flakes.
Overall the soup lacked any depth or punch... it just needed a bit more of that stinky flavorful Kyushu broth. I think they adjusted it for the heavy tourist crowd. If you dont know ramen then this place might be a nice spot to visit but overall its such a boring bowl of noodles. For 800 yen I could have got a pizza and hamburger steak plate at Saizeriya.
