On my way to my favorite greengrocer to pick up some cheap broccoli and just across they street was a brand new butcher that also offered some very reasonable bentos. Had to give it a try!
Bento price point started from 380 yen for Noriben, Teriyaki chicken 480 yen but had to go for the Wagyu Kalbi Bento for 580 yen! They also offered Wagyu Menchi 150yen and Meat Corokke for 100... gotta try next time.
The kalbi was very meaty and rather thick for a bento. Normally meat bento`s are sliced very thin but this was great. Its the kind of meat you order at a yakiniku restaurant. Had a great sweet seasoning with stir fried with onions.
I will definitely be back when I get a yakiniku craving on a budget.
