EBISU: "BLACOWS" 1000yen Wagyu Burger lunch.

If you are all about the flavor of the beef then give BLACOWS a try for sure (http://r.tabelog.com/tokyo/A1303/A130302/13096437/).  At most burger joints you'll normally find an event amount of everything... bread, ingredients, meat, french fries and drink.  But at BLACOWS its all about the meat patty... forget the french fries (they tease you, enough to beg for more), nevermind the pickle (size of a skinny weenie) and don't even bother to ask about the lunch set drink (you get water)... but they do give you a nice little salad.  Juicy juicy juicy... something about this burger and the owners demand to use the best of everything... its all on the menu in English so I won't go into detail about that part.  http://www.kuroge-wagyu.com/bc/top.html

I've visited BLACOWs three times since they had a spot on TV a few months back.  Perfect spot for your beef craving.  They do have avocado, cheese, etc... everything you want on a burger but I opt for the plain Burger. Will review my favorite Burger Joints soon... THE GREAT BURGER and GORO's.

EBISU: Blacows... lunch soooo delicious on the company tab! Otherwise CP is rather low. (Canon G7X)

Business lunch and we headed to Blacows for their rather poor cost performance burgers!

Most burger spots in Tokyo offer a lunch special that includes a burger, drink and salad for about 1,000 yen but Blacows is ala carte all the way... and its VERY pricey.  BUT this day I didn't have to worry about pulling out my wallet.

For an additional 500 yen you can get a very tasty salad and drink.

My colleagues Teriyaki burger... a pass for me.  Teriyaki seems so USA.

OK! I ordered the limited special Hokkaido Laclette Cheese Burger with an extra Avocado topping (additional 200 yen).  No cheese in sight yet...

Then the waiter arrives with a hot plate full of melty cheese... 

Oh my goodness... this cheese was so incredibly flavorful! YUM!!

Client ordered a salad but it was massive... looked great.

Brought along my Canon G7X but the photos are so soft... hmm... $400 you are totally not satisfying my photography needs. 

If you don't have to worry about a reasonably priced burger then you gotta head on over to Blacows that even has a $40 one pond (pound) burger that takes 30 minutes to prepare.

EBISU: "BLACOWS Revisited!" This time Jalapeno Burger~

We were both finally able to check out BLACOWS on a weekday... can't pass up the Japanese Lunch Specials~. Burgers were a few dollars less and it came with a nice salad.

Started with a great little salad.  Lots of different veggies.

Mari went with the Jalapeno Burger, 1200yen.  She gave me a few Jalapeno's so you see a few empty spots... but this was very spicy.  Took her a while to finish the burger... Be prepared to help finish if your lunch partner isn't a big eater... burgers are very filling!

My 1,000yen burger (salad included).  

Even at a nice place like this you can have great burgers and amazing burgers...  The bread was extra chewy on this day.  Manager mentioned that it should be consistent but sometimes the consistency can change.

This was a first... they finally put out Jalapeno Tabasco sauce on the table.

EBISU: "BLACOWS" Revisited.

Had to stop by and take some video of BLACOWS.  Noticed there were more Hokkaido french fries and an extra pickle on my 1,000yen Burger Lunch order.  Later spoke with the manager and he said we all get an extra pickle for lunch!  Now all we need is a free lunch drink to top things off.  The french fries were sweeter than usual but he mentioned that the quality occasionally changes with the supplier... but sure looked like I got double this time.  Would have to say the burgers are extremely juicy 75% of the time.  On my last visit the patty was noticeably smaller and no tasty beef juice oozin out... They started delivery!  But way more than their Lunch Specials.  Lunch Burger Set 1,000yen vs Delivery Set  1,500yen.

EBISU: Blacows! So tempted to order the limited special Wasabi Greens Burger... phew! (SONY RX100M3)

Love it when clients visit!  Always try to a few ranks above my usual selection when its being expensed and today was noooo exception!

BOOM! This wasabi avocado burger with a huge jungle of greens was soooo tempting!  I love avocados and a huge fan of Wasabi. 

Client ordered it!  Look at that thing... it was a jungle of greens!  He mentioned that the wasabi mixed into the avocado (guacamole) was a bit too spicy.   Glad I passed as I ordered the lunch set with salad.

For an additional 480 yen the lunch can include a tasty fresh salad and drink of choice.

I totally passed on the wasabi burger and went full on with the Laclette Cheese Burger with a topping of sliced avocados.  Now I wait for the hot cheese to arrive..

Here we go!  A bit of fun watching a pot of melted cheese engulf my burger.

WOW! Look at that beauty of a Japanese wagyu burger... cheese overflowing onto my plate.  The cheese was sooo flavorful and super chewy... OMG!  Absolutely love this burger.

When in Ebisu without a burger budget... mine is 1,000 yen with drink/salad... then definitely hit up BLACOWS for their more expensive selections!  YUUUMMMM.... My other Blacow Adventures!
