OKAYAMA: Boston Steak! The roasted lettuce Caesar salad was goooo! Slightly expensive steak was meh... (Sony RX100M3)

Caeser salad with roasted lettuce! I rarely see this.

This salad was soooo goood... it arrived on a hot iron plate.  It was pretty massive too.

Stewed tomato and beef tendon 390 yen! What a deal.  So many great looking side dishes at very reasonable prices.  

Sooo flavorful tomato based sauce with tender pieces of beef.  390 yen a no brainer.

I waited nearly an hour for this 3,500 yen sliver of a Spenser roll steak. 

The meat was tender in some areas and a little fatty.

Would I pay 3,500 yen again for this... nah.  I suggest ordering all the American style side dishes would be a better bet here. So if you go just order a drink or two and enjoy those very wallet friendly dishes.  Pass on the meat. Oh... a couple next to me waited nearly 45 minutes for their 1st order so with just 1 chef this place will try your patience.

OKAYAMA: Family Mart for a few Chu-Hi`s! Is it just a thing in Tokyo where people drink in front of Conbini`s? Found my spot in Okayama! (Sony RX100)

My Goto FamilyMart bordering the red light district of Okayama.

These older Miata`s are going for $20K in Japan.

Due to security reasons the restrooms are closed after 10pm.

The convini is located on a rather spacious shopping road. Not much traffic at night.

Its kinda nice to just drink on the cheap once in a while... Why spend 700 yen on a bottle beer at that Gyoza Restaurant when you can get a 500ml can of Super Chuhi for less than 200 yen. I officially name this Family Mart content corner of Okayama.

OKAYAMA: Niku Sakaba Take-chan has 30 minutes all you can drink Lemon Sour for 300 yen! Lets get drunk boys... (Sony RX100M3)

 

For the past few years all you can drink 30 minutes 300 yen Lemon Sour spots have been sprouting up all over Japan.  My very first try!

Food Menu... lots of stuff around 200 yen.

Went for 60 minutes... Only 600 yen!!

Seated right in front of the chef... Its super smokey here so hide your jacket. 

The lemon sour deal comes with bubble water, ice, mug with a slice of lemon and a huge bottle of self serve 40 proof Lemon Sour Bottle!  That's quite the high alcohol content.

Food was very junky here... just go to get drunk.

Seated next to this guy who is from Osaka but currently working in Okayama.  He said the best deal is 30 minutes for 300 yen and just drink... Think he finished nearly 10 glasses.

Very young chefs.. guess it doesnt take much to grill the items served here.

The damage! The tomato wrapped in bacon was nearly as expensive as 30 minutes of drinks.

The magic of Japan is to be able to speak the language ... People can really open up.

A great spot to start your evening for sure.  I say stay for 60 minutes and order the bare minimum of food... there are better food options in this area.  It is smokey so maybe sit away from the grill.
