YELP is finally revving up with Party's at Japanese Restaurants in Tokyo! I'm sooooo glad... there was a bookstore event, a Japanese cracker event but I was just waiting for the day they'd book a normal restaurant with tasty food and drinks.
Buffet style... grilled chicken, salad, edamame boiled green beans and carpaccio to start.
This is a hard core real Awa Odori dance troop that performs at the hugely popular annual Koenji Awa Odori Festival. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awa_Dance_Festival
Invited Hiro and Hiromi out tot he event... new Yelpers.
The fresh tuna sushi won't blow you away but the pieces were generously gigantic.
I think this was shabu shabu without all the hard work... tasty.
If you have any visiting guests from abroad then this place is a great option. The food is OK by Japanese standards but I'm sure any foreigner with limited J-food access will think its just yummy... the service was extremely friendly and attentive.
