Its been years since I last visited Tasuichi but I scored some 50% off Groupon Tickets and off I went with my Hawaii MBA classmates... http://www.groupon.jp/db/?cid=91735
There were single guys, groups of 2 and a few couples here on a Thursday evening.

Our waitress for the night was so super observant... great staff here.
Edamame 300yen.
Avocado and Octopus Salad 500yen
French Fries 500yen.
Beef tendon stewed in red wine 500yen. Other than the French Fries the food portions were very tiny and not really meant to be shared... just too small.
European football (soccer) on several monitors.
Its great easy spot to have a few beers but I'd probably pass on most of the food... the volume was lacking and you can rack up a nice bill just to get full. So I'd probably stick with the beers and maybe a Fish & Chips plate until you are ready to move on to Nijikai (2nd party)...
And of course how can we not go to nijikai at Sumire Izakaya for their 140yen beers!
