Nerima seems to be a very very busy area for hostess clubs (cabakura) and we passed several on our way to Kinchans! A highly ranked local spot with a HUGE following. I can only assume its due to the very elderly hunched over chef.
On a Tuesday night at 7pm we were met with a completely packed Izakaya... wow. There are other Izakaya's in the area but nothing as busy as this.
2 very friendly Filipina waitresses greeted everyone.

Motsu is a must wherever you go... normally stewed to perfection but we both agreed this was soooo watery and incredibly bland. C'mon grandpa chef... pick up your game.
And we both were bewildered by the Yakitori... all items were burnt! LOL. C'mon grandpa chef... pick up your game :)
Grandpa Chef saying arigato to the exiting customers.
Overall the atmosphere was amazingly Japan... but the food was so incredibly bad. We just stopped ordering after a few sticks that never ever happens. If you want to experience the hustle and bustle of a neat Yakitori Izakaya then give Kin-Chan's a try! Remember the chef will burn your chicken so drink alot! Oh, if you are in the area hit up Akimoto-Ya, thats an amazing yakitori spot!! http://tokyobelly.blogspot.jp/2012/11/sakuradai-akimoto-ya-yakiton-wow-what.html
