Been having a bad streak of bland unrich Korean sundubu at Tokyo Sundubu, Ebisu Chame and my local mom & pop Kimu Namu Korean restaurant... nothing memorable at all.
But it was lunch time in the burbs of Tokyo... the final stop on the Oedo Subway Line and decided to head into Fukuju as I saw a few lone diners enjoying lunch. Very single diner friendly.
This was all me! 880 yen Sundubu Jjigae
The dinner yakiniku bbq meats looked wonderful...
Here it is!
A few sips of the soup and it was soooo incredibly flavorful and quite thick. It has been sooo long since I had a great bowl of Sundubu in Japan. There were clams, mushrooms, a raw egg and some other things inside. Just so tasty tasty... loved it!
If you are ever craving delicious Sundubu you gotta head to a Fukuju nearest you!
