I first passed by Hyotan about 5-6 years ago but because I couldn't see inside I hesitated to give it at try... Actually wanted to goto Shamaim but it was randomly closed today.
This was all me! 850 yen for khao man gai lunch set.
Ice cold metal tumbler! Wow... nice touch.
Lots of Thai music on the BGM.
Look at all this food for 850 yen (tax included). Rarely do you get such a generous amount of food for this price... no wonder why there were so many university students eating here.
Spicy sauce was super flavorful.
Lunch included a drink... went for Jasmine Tea.
The Thai staff was friendly and the food really tasty... if you need dose of real Thai food on a budget you gotta hit up Hyotan!
I went back on a super busy Sunday at 1pm (July 21, 2019)... the rice was so hot and fresh! It was a full house with some older afternoon drinkers enjoying lunch in the standing area behind me.
This time they provided Tom Yum Soup Goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง) soup as a side and...
The dessert was a pumpkin tapioca! Had some pumpkin and corn inside... YUM!
