Trying to find a restaurant thats open on January 2nd can be quite the challenge but luckily Toikizoku franchise is open year round.
My beer tasted like it had a hint of detergent... like they didn't thoroughly was so I asked the manager about it. He immediately said they don't use any soap detergent to wash the glasses, only water. Then he walked away... this is the most unfriendly Torikizoku manager I have ever met. Ugh..
Visitors from Canada... they were surprised everything on the menu was only 298 yen included the Mega Beers.
WOW! This place takes reservations... all other spots are first come first serve.
Overall I would rather visit their friendly Azabu Juban or Roppongi branches rather then this one. On any other day there are soooo many restaurant options in Akasaka so this is definitely a pass.

Steve, you have to consider that a bunch of foreign (| gaijin) groups, when they plan an assemblage in Tokyo, if they look for an area that is not Shibuya or Shinjuku; Akasaka is going to be in the mix. This venue seems to be in a location where it might look for an evening's early welcome. Hopefully, it would move somewhere nearby afterward.
ReplyDeleteWhat I guess I am scribing here is that they are probably this restaurant's bill-payers. So there's nothing too Japanese, and the surliness of the chef is something the guests expect.
