SHIMBASHI: Korean Yatai Dan. When restaurants are full its a cozy standing izakaya to kill a bit of time. (Sony RX100)

Shimbashi on a Friday night... Covid is offically over boys.  Every restaurant was FULL!

Luckily we were able to reserve a restaurant for 8pm but had 30 minutes to kill.  Ended up at Korean Yatai Dan standing bar.

From what I could see everything on the menu was 500 yen.

Edamame 500 yen.

Kimchee Radish blocks 500 yen.

Korean Chanja 500 yen... I absolutely love this at Kura Sushi.

At Kura Sushi they place it on top of the rice... sooo good. Its a bit sweet and spicy.

I noticed the manager had really pronounced features and was a bit tan.... after a little chit chat Iasked if he was Okinawan. He was! But raised in mainland Japan... very nice guy. He was the only staff until 8pm when a cute part time waitress went on shift.  Anyways its an easy place to get in without reservation.

Paypal cashback was very limited... I've only been going to this franchse spot fo lunch. But I might have to goto Baskin Robbins too. Oh maximum cash back is 1,500 yen thru February end. 

Super reasonable... no English menu's but everything is pictured! Huge plastic food display outside.

Lots of gyoza ramen sets.

Very few tables so its mostly counter seating.

NO SMOKING Sweet!! Beers only 264 yen and 6 piece gyoza 210 yen.

Many beer food items only 100 yen. 3 Piece Gyoza 110 yen.

This is me! My absolute Favorite. 700 yen lunch set called Bakudan Itame (Dynamite Mix)

I get Korean cravings but there are so few Korean restaurants in local towns... lots of Chinese but very few Korean spots.  Soooo!  This is where I get my Pork Kimchee Mix... super flavorful!

Soup is a bit on the salty side... it may be their ramen broth.

I never did understand this pickled veggie.  Chinese style?

700 yen if you use Paypay and since I'm a Softbank Mobile user its 50% cashback. (Softbank owns Paypay). BUT Overall you can't go wrong here... cheap and good.  If in Japan try out one of their franchise locations!!   

This day I brought out my new used Panasoic Lumix LX3.... it sure is slow to focus.

HIKARIGAOKA: Fukuju Korean Restaurant... Sundubu revisited to see if the taste is consistent. (Sony RX100M3)

All you can eat menu... 3,680 yen but if you want drinks its plus 1,500 yen.  Thats a heafty 5,000 yen in the country side burbs.   Think I would pre-drink then just eat as much as possible. 

Aloha Hawaiians! They have Spam Musubi here on their all u can eat menu!

The waiter and waitress was so attentive... I must have had 5 refills of barley tea.

Kids yakiniku lunch set only 500 yen.

Look at that color!  So deep rich flavorful... not watered down like most Sundubu spots that put way toooo much Tofu that bleeds water. 

Raw egg!  Just mix and it will cook. 

Free lunch rice refills... small extra portion please.

No smoking until 2pm

So I counted the number of clams in my Sundubu... 6 or 7!  Yuuuummm

Consistent and tasty plus the staff was incredibly attentive... they continued to peek at every ones table 5-10 min to see if we needed water or anything.  Kindness and service is still alive on the out skirts of Tokyo... YUM!
