NAKAMURABASHI: Very very rare high calorie Matsuya Beef Bowl visit! But got the Korean Chige Soup combo. (Sony RX100)

 

This must be my first visit to a beef bowl shop in the last 15 years... These tiny bowls have an incredible amount of calories and some beef bowls exceed 2,000 calories!

But I didnt eat much this night and there were very few options after Midnight.

Took about 10 minutes for my meal to arrive.  

They actually ran out of beef after my order arrived.   Staff was refunding multiple people.

There it is! Much less guilt with a side of korean tofu chige soup.

Kimchee Beef Bowl 764 kcal and small Mini Chige 306 kcal

Meat is very thin and easy to chew.  I mean its just too thin to have that meat texture.

Overall its a nice option to close out the night but are you willing to sleep on over 1,000 calories because you had that super late night craving... remember its best not to eat after 10pm!  But beef bowls start from 400 yen and very wallet friendly.

When I get slight cravings I usually go for some gyoza or the occasional local Kappa Sushi.  BUT This night what caught my eye was!!

The 50% off draft beers!

Tuna slices were a bit tiny... 

Torched salmon was a bit cold and on the mostly raw side...

Squid Tempura (Ika) was quite generous in portion. 

I`m a huge fan of tempura and simply pushed the screen without reading what the little red topping was. 

It was Chipotle sauce!  A little spicy sweet... it was just soooo good!

and my 5th piece!  Think it was made to order as it took a bit of time and the tempura was hot.  SOooooo Goood!  

Tonights damage...

I don`t usually exceed 5 plates but tempura was just too addictive.  Remember to visit by November 29th so you can enjoy the 50% off beer campaign!  Last order is 10:30pm and closes at 11pm.
