NAKAMURABASHI: Very very rare high calorie Matsuya Beef Bowl visit! But got the Korean Chige Soup combo. (Sony RX100)

This must be my first visit to a beef bowl shop in the last 15 years... These tiny bowls have an incredible amount of calories and some beef bowls exceed 2,000 calories!

But I didnt eat much this night and there were very few options after Midnight.

Took about 10 minutes for my meal to arrive.

They actually ran out of beef after my order arrived.   Staff was refunding multiple people.

There it is! Much less guilt with a side of korean tofu chige soup.

Meat is very thin and easy to chew.  I mean its just too thin to have that meat texture.

Meat in my Chige Soup too.

Overall its a nice option to close out the night but are you willing to sleep on over 1,000 calories because you had that super late night craving... remember its best not to eat after 10pm!  But beef bowls start from 400 yen and very wallet friendly.

SHINBASHI: Okamura-Ya chunky stewed beef bowl with season daikon and tofu on a bed of rice. (SONY RX100M3)

When in Shimbashi I try to hit up Okamuraya for a tasty tender stewed beef bowl.

Here it is you all!  Added a Sony RX100M3 to the foodie blog line-up!  I love the RX100 but its 28mm lens is too tight to get candid photos but the 24mm RX100M3 is a bit wider so should be fun.

Everything is pictured so just point!  Many of the staff was from South East Asia so you can practice a language other than Japanese... the waiter seemed like he was from Thailand or Vietnam.

Oh no! RX100M3 out of focus?  Looks like its focusing on black pot in the background. Why?

The juices from the meat soak into the rice...

Huge seasoned daikon... sooo flavorful.

Block of tofu sandwiched between the toppings and the rice.

Consomme soup is an additional 60 yen.

Counter seats and if you are alone you will have to share your table... in Japanese its called "Ai-Sehki"

The power of a 24mm lens... you can get people in the shot without looking too obvious.   Overall this is definitely a step above other beef bowl places like Matsuya so gotta try!

TOYOSU: Nakau for a Buta-Kimchee Udon and Beef Bowl set... a great close to a home farewell party.

Didn't eat anything all day and the sight of hot Kimchee Udon was most welome on this cold Saturday night.

Push button menu system with all items pictured.   Accidentally pushed the Kimchee with mini beef bowl set... oh the calories.

Give your ticket to the chef...

Not much of a fan of this red sliced free item...  Often see it on Okinawan soba.

Not quite as red as the photo but still hit the spot.

Standard beef bowl... but sure like the toppings at Sukiya

Nakau is a nice alternative to giants like Yoshinoya or Matsuya.

Farewell Ana...
