HIKARIGAOKA: Fukuju Korean Restaurant... Sundubu revisited to see if the taste is consistent. (Sony RX100M3)

All you can eat menu... 3,680 yen but if you want drinks its plus 1,500 yen.  Thats a heafty 5,000 yen in the country side burbs.   Think I would pre-drink then just eat as much as possible. 

Aloha Hawaiians! They have Spam Musubi here on their all u can eat menu!

The waiter and waitress was so attentive... I must have had 5 refills of barley tea.

Kids yakiniku lunch set only 500 yen.

Look at that color!  So deep rich flavorful... not watered down like most Sundubu spots that put way toooo much Tofu that bleeds water. 

Raw egg!  Just mix and it will cook. 

Free lunch rice refills... small extra portion please.

No smoking until 2pm

So I counted the number of clams in my Sundubu... 6 or 7!  Yuuuummm

Consistent and tasty plus the staff was incredibly attentive... they continued to peek at every ones table 5-10 min to see if we needed water or anything.  Kindness and service is still alive on the out skirts of Tokyo... YUM!

EBISU: Chame Restaurant that specializes in Sundubu-jjigae. The bowls seem to have gotten smaller...

This place has been around since I was living nearby back in 2002 or so... I guess tofu soup starting at a 1,000 yen price point is very profitable.   Is that an Uber Eats guy outside?

An egg and seasoned chilled bean spouts instantly appear.

Description of the 1 to 3 spicy levels... there are also 0.5 increments.  Why not just 1-5?

My counter view.

Went for the 1,080 yen Chame special that had some pork and seafood. Oh also you can select from 1 to 3 spice level.  Gave the 1.5 a try but wasn't really spicy at all. 

Back in the day I could have sworn these bowls were much bigger. 

Definitely much more flavor than the Tokyo Sundubu franchise.

Overall I don't know... I think if you really want a great lunch value it would be way better to head on over to Yakiniku Kintan for their 1,000 yen lunch bbq set.

TOKYO DOME: Tokyo Sundubu... level 4 spicy was too hot for me! Then Rice Bowl Football Championship Game!

What to eat before Rice Bowl... winter time of course Sundubu!

Fujitsu Frontiers (Shakaijin - Company Team) vs. Kwansei Gakuin University.

I arrived late and my friend ordered level 5 spicy for me... it was just full of red hot peppers.  If you love flavor then stick with 3 or 4. 

The newlyweds... just registered their marriage earlier this day.  January 3rd!

The soup wasn't very flavorful... really like sundubu with a deep rich flavor. 

If you ever goto Tokyo Dome for a sports event remember you are allowed to take two 500ml alcoholic drinks... they will put these into paper cups. Otherwise beers are like 800 yen!  Oh, and you can hide some in your backpack but the security will take a peek inside to check for beer. 

Lots of university ladies are beer girls at the stadium.
