ROPPONGI: Falafel Brothers! I finally made it! Tiny shop with heavy falafel sandwich! Plus チュートリアル comedian spotting.

The location for Falafel Brothers is not something you will spot if you walk the main roads of Roppongi.  Located just a block from the crossing in a somewhat quiets spot.

Went for the biggest falafel sandwich they had.

Plus the recommended Israeli Beer... first time ever to try a beer from that country.

For the Falafel you can choose 3 different toppings... I got the hummus, crunch salad and one more item.

Then to top things off your favorite sauce.  The friendly Toshi (hope I remembered his name correctly) saw I was lost so offered to add all three.  

This photo doesn't do this massive soft pita sandwich justice... it was HEAVY!  I can top off huge burgers but this was so massive I ended up taking a bit of it home.

I later realized everything was veggie... nice and healthy.

Only 3 counter seats facing outside and who did I spot?  One of my favorite Japanese comedian personalities Yoshimi Tokui from the TV show Shabekuri 007!  I have him a few Hawaiian Shaka's and he did the same back.  https://www.ntv.co.jp/007/

Overall I really liked this spot and the staff that helped me was super friendly with all smiles.  If you ever go I recommend trying to get a seat inside and enjoy the view of passersby. Oh they offer Uber Eats here!

I spotted a stunning Bentley Mulsanne driving right past the shop.  Later to see it park up the street and the passengers rushed into a building.  Frequently see Rolls Royces in Tokyo but rarely any Mulsannes.

EKODA: Shamaim is back for lunch! Falafel and Hummus plus a drink set for 850yen... oh yeah a steal!

Shamaim restarted their lunch in March and I'm soooo happy!  I rarely rarely super rarely find hummus in Tokyo and this spot makes it fresh from chickpeas. 

My lemonade included with the 850yen lunch.

Macha Kahlua! Are you kidding me... I'm gonna buy a bottle at the supermarket.

Belly dance once a month... the owner needs to connect with the TUFS college belly dance club!

I don't know when Shamaim stopped service lunch but I was a huuuuuge fan of their lunch sets.

But this day it was my Birthday and a few friends invited me out for some all you can eat Israeli dinner.  First came the vegetable soup.

Next up Pita bread and all kinds of stuffing.

Chicken cutlet and falafel.

And of course HUMMUS!  

Nice balance beer menu... Samuel Adams and Maccabee beer from Israel.

The 3rd and final dish that in the course was tender seasoned chicken and lamb on a bed of seasoned yellow rice.  After this arrives you can order reorder anything you want... So we ordered some more hummus and pita bread.

Large screen TV with a little Tom and Jerry playing for the kids.

There is one HUGE table that can easily accommodate a group of 10-15 people... restaurant was very family friendly.  The 2,400yen dinner buffet was great, service friendly and attentive... but who doesn't love hummus eh? If in the area check it out but if you are lucky there's a belly dance show once in a while.
