OSAKA NAMBA: Ebisu Restaurant... amazing Teppanyaki Wagyu Steak! Plus everything else was delicious!!

My favorite client President Masa of ALCO Corporation wasn't able to make it this night but he booked another amazing restaurant in Osaka for us!  Everything was just soooo delicious.
Counter seat sits 5 and it was all ours.   Perfect view of the chef.

Started off with raw liver seasoned in sesame seed oil.  Guests from NY passed on this but it does take a while to adjust to eating raw meats.

Yakitori but not on a charcoal grill... it was made on the teppanyaki iron plate.

OMG! This awabi abolone grilled with butter I think was so tender and flavorful... loved the texture.

Time for Wagyu Steak!

Wow... huge chunks of marbleized wagyu.

Tender tender... juicy juicy... oh yum.

After a few beers shifted to chilled Nihonshu.

Of course okonomiyaki!

Time for a bit of rolled egg.

This is how you make an egg roll on a hot teppanyaki steel plate.

Yakisoba!

They serve Shandygaff here!

The different kinds of shochu... have both akakirishima and kurokirishima.

The friendly owner was outside talking to the regulars (center).  The GODASHDOT president and director visiting from NYC!  A great night with the ALCO team.

Overall if you had to just goto 1 friendly delicious spot in Namba then this is the place!  Everything was fantastic and the counter seating had a full view of the chef making everything!

EKODA: Teppan-Yaki ORELA... perfect service, casual atmosphere and fun food!

Its been about 3 years since my last venture into a Monja-Okonomiyaki spot and with the help of Groupon I scored for 2,500yen (all you can eat and drink) for 50% off... 1,250yen each for 2hours!

Looks like they were having a 1st drink free during Golden Week.

One large table at the entrance.

Long counter seating with views of the bartenders and chef at work.

Pre-made Okonomiyaki arrived before we ordered... a great starter.

And here it is!  Our all you can drink and eat menu.  The food mainly focused on the Monja but a fun selection of baby-star, pork kimchee, curry with mini hotdogs, mentaiko-cheese, negi-shoga with tiny shrimps and potage.  Its just fun food.

Mentaiko-Cheese...

The cooking style is a bit different than Okonomiyaki so the waiter immediately noticed we were a bit lost and got things started.  Service was just spot on great!

Counter seating...

Baby-Star okonomiyaki...

Meet Jun (guy in black) bartender and master chef... perfect service and super friendly.

Dessert... Crepe with chocolate and azuki beans.

Meet the head chef who was cooking in along the counter... another great guy.

Overall this place is easily 5 stars. Its just a great thing when you can cook your food and everything is hot hot... I'll definitely be back!
