OYAMA STATION: Ikkyu Donuts on Happy Road Shopping Street. The Green Soybean Donuts were amazing!! (iPhone Xs)

Who would have ever known there was a massive arcade only 30 minutes by walk from Ikebukuro station! WOW... so many streets to explore.

This town has an annual Summer Festival... gotta go next year. 

WOW! Green Soybean Donuts at Ikkyu... walk past.. went back.. then made another U-Turn to give one a try.  There was a handwritten sign outside that said only 9 left!

It was quite the chunky donut!  Easily 1.5-2x bigger than Mr. Donut. 

Its kinda of a heavy donut but soooo thick and chewy... I can only equate it to a mix between thick pancakes and a waffle.  Has such a nice slight sweetness to it. 

DUUUUUDE.... YUM!!!

Oyama Happy Road Shopping Street is so out of the way and I am soooo positive there are nearly zero tourists in this area.   Just a few stops from Ikebukuro on the Tobu Tojo Line.  GOGOGO and Explore. Lots of great little restaurants, bars and shopping spots to explore. 

I went back again on September 19th!  Sooooo amazing!!

NERIMA: Mister Donuts meets Hello Kitty... 100yen Donuts

Mister Donuts has a great selection of 100yen donuts and one of my favorites "Pon-De-Ring" has a very very fun chewiness to it.

Lots of seating and for some reason this branch is quite busy even at Midnight.  Mister Donuts is located all around Japan so if you are in the mood give it a try!

ROPPONGI: Downstairs Coffee at Mercedes Benz Connection

The former Mercedes Benz Connection was always a great spot for DJ and party events but they recently relocated just a block down the road from the previous location facing Midtown Tokyo.

Excessively spacious compared to the packed insanity of Starbucks it was comfortably quiet.

One Latte 400yen and one Hot Cocoa 380yen... 

Cups were surprisingly big at the price point... could almost say it was a pleasant bargain.

Then of course after coffee you must check out all the cars on display.

Great gift shop with MB logo's on the bear foots

This is a must guys!  Its a USB Stick but to the average girl they would only assume you own a MB~... yeah its superficial but could be a great conversation starter for those girls on the lookout for $$.

Overall a great spot just 2 blocks down from the hustle of Roppongi... Highly suggest going there and big enough for kids or strollers.  The 400yen Cinnamon Donut was a bit much...

AKASAKA: (CLOSED) Neyn Homemade Donuts. Each unique and very tasty!

This place is a little gem.  Sure I love Mr. Donuts but nothing beats the individual care each donut gets at Neyn in Akasaka.  

Picked up a berry topping donut, a chocolate donut and a cheesecake donut.  All three had very different textures.  The berry was like a classic donut, the chocolate was closer to dry brownie and the cheese cake like a condensed sponge cake.  Very tasty but the textures added a bit for to the selections~.
