Back in the day there was a 80s new wave kinda bar in this location and a few weeks ago I randomly walked by. What? Who?  The manager from Havana Cafe was bartending and I saw another familiar face DJ Ikeda from back during the Latin Sundays events at Heartland Bar Roppongi. They are both co-owners Justa Coffee Bar! 

Chill L shaped counter seating.  

Champagne bottles from 80,000 yen to 140,000 yen... This is a posh neighborhood.

500 yen limited Heartland Bottled Beeru.  Due to its low price point they only had 6 bottles in stock this night. 

Back section that can accommodate 20-30 people. 

A friend and I ordered Heartland beer and he brought out 3 bottles... guess he wanted to drink with us.  Of course we were more than happy to pay over nostalgic conversations. Since they just opened he is the only person on staff but will eventually hire a few pretty bilingual girls much like Havana Cafe days. Give it a try!

ROPPONGI: Back to the only Torikizoku in Roppongi.. Price points now 370 yen for everything. Seasonal items sold out sooo early! (Sony RX100, iPhone 12 Mini)

 

In the past 10 years I have only visited Torikizoku Roppongi East Branch because on one instance a staff member didn't was his hands after using the restroom.  Then on I usually visit the Azabu Juban branch.

Kanpai! Always for that huge 3rd Beer Kinmugi! Jumbo Mug.

Fried chicken skin.  Very crispy and chewy... good beer food.

Free spices.  Its somewhere on the tablet.

Chicken Nanban.  Popular with the ladies.  Fried chicken nuggets in a sweet sauce topped with slices of onions and kinda mayo.

Ground chicken tsukune in green bell peppers with side of mustard.

Of course... a must! Free refill cabbage with ponzu.

Unfortunately all the seasonal specials were sold out at 5:15pm! I can only assume Torikizoku has become so popular with both locals and tourists that they cant source enough for all restaurants.

They no longer sell my favorite slightly sweet wasabi and seaweed topped yakitori.  Now its just yakitori with a bit of wasabi? Or was it Yuzu?

Overall 3 Beers each and several dishes of Yakitori came out to only 2,000 yen per person.  Even though the prices have gone up from 280 to 370 yen its still a really chill place and no table otoshi charge.  Service is quick and lots of foreign bilingual people working here.  

Located from the once busy Roppongi Lower Building thats now set up for redevelopment.

ROPPONGI: Macchan Izakaya! Stay for 210 yen Asahi Draft and Whisky Hi-Balls but run away from food!! (Sony RX100M2)

If you a place for everyone to gather over a few cheap 210 yen Asahi draft beers and whisky hi-balls then Machan is a pretty good choice... except for the smokers that always find my way to me.

No worries...the touch panel menu has English.

Very spacious with a few TV monitors here and there.

Might be a great place to enjoy some World Cup Soccer!

Kicker is they charge 430 yen for seating fee... but you get this tiny pickled Otoshi for free.

Honestly the food here is very overpriced and not very good if you compare to other low budget Izakayas in the area.  Considering the table charge I`d definitely head on over to Torikizoku for their 350 yen menu and massive draft beer mugs.  BUT this place is chill for large groups.
