FUJIMIDAI: Mansyu Gyoza... franchise gyoza (pot sticker) specialty restaurant now has Mugi Barley Rice! (SONY RX100)

Fujimidai is an easy bike ride from my home and wanted something filling but a bit friendly on the wallet so why not gyoza stuffed with veggies!

Outside menu sure has alot of selections including ramen.

This elderly man in my direct counter view kept spilling everything on his down jacket... apron please.

Menu is all touch screen with English also.

Here you go!  A bit rushed but you can see the menu in English.

I went for the rice, soup, pickles and 6 piece gyoza set for 400 yen.

English!

How to properly make pot stickers....

March 30, 2019... gotta keep up with BREXIT.  Poof!

Gyoza Masters with their official certificates lined the wall... only 4 at this shop!

Here we go! 400 yen goes pretty far here and don't forget no tipping in Japan.

OK! All you healthy peeps its time to head for gyoza with white or mugi rice options.  Its quite rare to see a restaurant offer more than 1 type of rice.

One piece was about the size of my thumb.

This young ladys main job was to slice a bunch of tofu blocks on her hand... hope she doesnt cut herself.  Maybe its for the mabo-tofu dish>

Bags and bags of gyoza to go!

I asked the cashier who was the shops Master Gyoza and it was the guy to the very right of this photo.. I noticed he was training the lady to his right.

Lucky to live in an area soooo populated by cherry blossom trees.

GAIENMAE: Le Cocottes Italian Restaurant for a farewell dinner. Spot on amazing service and perfectly delicious food! (SONY RX100)

One of our managing directors was moving on and a foodie lady on our team reserved Le Cocottes... she knows all the best most reasonable restaurants in the area.  The last time she reserved Monte Azul, yum! http://tokyobelly.blogspot.com/2018/05/gaienmae-monte-azul-spanish-restaurant.html

I believe our 5,000 yen full course was for 2 hours with nomihoudai.

Oh man the slices of parma ham so good... salad!

I think this was a very addictive sardine seasoned french fries.. crispy chewy! Perfectly fried.

Kind of stewed pasta... the noodles so thick and chewy.  Definitely fresh fresh.

Someone at the table asked for some Parmesan and without hesitation the waiter brought it out without requesting an additional fee. Customer service so different then the disappointment that was Sento Bene nearby. http://tokyobelly.blogspot.com/2018/09/gaienmae-sante-bene-italian-course-menu.html

Interior was mostly wood with a nice pink chandelier right above us.

OMG! Uni pasta... if only they provided some bread to dip this perfect sauce.  Again they used a thick chewy pasta noodle.  Everything was just so good here.

Our waiter seen here pouring wine was very attentive and took such great care of our table of nearly 13 people.  Service at its best

Closed with a meat service that was a bit on the rare side but so OK for me.

Overall this place is a definitely a cozy and delicious spot that will remain on your mind when someone asks where to take a group to dinner in the Gaienmae area.  YOU GOTTA GO!!
