AOYAMA ICHOME: Hamaou Minato-Tei for a great great 980 yen Steak lunch... super tender!

Former colleague invited me out for lunch and we hit up his regular spot.

Marked with a red circle "Dai Ninki!" (Super popular)...the 980yen domestic beef Rib Roast Steak.

The hamburger steak also seems to be a hit.

There are several booth type seats and a one big shared table that seats about 8 people.

wow!

The steak was sooooooo super super tender... just loved it.

You get raddish with ponzu sauce to dip the steak into.

Just loved the service... I will be back!

YOYOGI: Yoshi Soba for a bowl of tempura squid bowl... Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition spotting!

The reason I decided to stop by this fast food spot was because I saw a beautiful Porsche 911 50th anniversary edition across the street....

English menu's on the walls but the ordering push button machine I used was all in Japanese.

The tempura squid was not very good... instead of crispy on the outside it was very mushy like it had been made a while ago.

And so for the first time ever I spot a 911-50.

FUJIMIDAI: Mansyu Gyoza... franchise gyoza (pot sticker) specialty restaurant.

Recently on TV people were asked where do they go for gyoza.  Chiba prefecture folks said White Gyoza and Saitama voted on Gyoza-no-Mansyu.... so I had to give one a try.

Ordered a glass of Aomori apple juice.

Touchpad menu's are also in English.

Went for the very basic 399 yen gyoza set.

Nothing really outstanding this spot and it rather average.  I noticed so many people ordering fresh (unfrozen) gyoza's to make at home. An option only available on Mon and Thurs.

IKEBUKURO: Donchuya Korean Restaurant... 2 hours of food and drinks for cheap!

I'm back checking out deals on Groupon and came across a great deal for Donchuya.

Normally all you can eat Korean spots are limited to few selections that you can keep re-ordering.. but this place has the entire menu available for you.

All you can drink "nomihoudai" menu.  If you go for their standard course the nomihoudai plan is only 60 minutes so make sure to get the 30 minute additional plan.

Food overall was nothing notable but having the ability to order anything off the menu was a great thing.  Not sure if I'll be back as I'm a big fan of Imo-chan nearby.
