OKINAWA NAHA: Fab Mart back for the Boooorito's... Tacos were amazing but the Burritos were kinda a huge salad roll. (Sony RX100)

It was a Tuesday and what better place than to hit up Fab Mart for their tacos! But unfortunately it turned into Burrito Tuesday... ugh.

The Shima (Island) Tuna Poke was just too tempting... so I skipped the Hawaiian Poke Taco's that were stunning on my last visit and went for the burrito.

Happy Hour Heartland Beer only 300 yen until 3pm.

Lots of Craft Beers

Volume was spot on rather huge.

They give you both a  mild and spicy sauce.

It was sooo perfectly wrapped.... veggies on one side and the seasoned ahi spicy tuna on the other.

Wrapped in something that resembled Vietnamese raw spring rolls... hmm...

A few bites and it was either I had a mouth full of lettuce or a mouth full of fish and other items in the mix.  There was something unusually hard in this... I couldnt figure it out but if you bite into it too hard you could possibly chip a tooth. Had to quietly spit it out a few times.  The ingredients were so overwhelming that the flavor of the amazing maguro was just hidden away.

Overall the burrito was not very good... Totally wished I had the Tacos.

OKINAWA NAHA: Fab Mart has the MOST amazing Tacos I have ever had in Japan!! Hawaiian Poke Taco WOW! (Sony RX100)

Whenever I goto Okinawa Im usually on the hunt for either Hawaiian Poke or Tacos and randomly spotted Fab Mart after lunch... noticed they had Poke! So a few days later I went again.

But the Hawaiian Poke wasn't available this day...

So I ordered me a Happy Hour beer and...

... the cashier said the grilled tuna was the most popular item so why not!

This taco totally reminded me of those Taco Trucks in Los Angeles (LA).  It was just sooo good with soft shell.

Included a tiny lime?

I had to get another but another chef arrived and she helped me select another taco. I mentioned I came again just to eat the Hawaiian Poke an she mentioned they have Poke Tacos!! OMG!

This was absolutely delicious!  Totally reminded me of Poke in Hawaii.

I think the fish sat on a bed of Kail veggies.  So I just at the greens alone as it was a bit too overbearing and wanted to enjoy the poke with the taco shell.

Guys!!! When in Japan please fly to Fab Mart in Okinawa for the best tacos I have ever had in this country!  I will definitely be back many many times... YUM!!

EKODA: Tacos and Taco Rice Nikorashika Bar! A huge fan of tiny counter style bars with friendly bilingual staff... Taco`s were YUM! (Sony RX100)

Another friendly bar spotting in college town Ekoda.

I rarely spot my favorite Polish Żubrówka vodka but this place has it!  Mix with a little apple juice and there you go... smooth way to get a bit drunk.

Decided to give the Taco Rice a try.  The chef said the owner of this spot was from Okinawa.

Interesting music space on the 2nd floor.

Very good volume for 800 yen.  After a few bites this was probably the best Taco Rice I have ever had in mainland Japan!  There were little bits of nachos inside that gave it a great texture.  Flavoring spot on yum!

The regulars.

And so I return to check out the 2 tacos plus 1 drink for only 1,100 yen.

Very generous sized soft shell tacos... Just like Okinawa.  Tokyo just doesn`t do Mexican tacos very well and when you do spot a place its just so expensive.  Yum!

Customers next to me were eating this...

...and this. If you are ever in Ekoda you must go! Plus the chef spoke English rather fluently!
