After going to Okinawa more than any other location in Japan its so comforting to listen to Okinawan music and drink my favorite Orion Beer. This night we try Unjami.

The 2 hour all you can drink menu! I went for a few Orion Beers, Awamori and whisky hi-balls.
The deal was you need to order 2 plates each to get in on this drink plan.
Orion beer happy hour til 7pm.
Huge oval counter seating area.
Push button ordering system... super quick staff.
Vast drink menu if you don`t go for the 1,980 yen deal... but looking at the prices if you can drink 3-4 then you are in the clear.
Automatic appetizer called otoshi is mozuku.
Of course Umi-Budou (ocean grapes)... unusually Okinawans don`t eat this and most is exported to mainland Japan.
Mimigah... sliced pig ear in ponzu sauce.
This is what I ordered... Hiraya-chi. Basically sliced spam and egg with ketchup.
Had this a few times in Okinawa...

The tatami floor seating area was super spacious too.. just don`t wear any holy socks.
My 2nd choice... Taco Rice is a hot metal bowl. Lots of cheese.
Overall I really liked the atmosphere at Unjyami and the super attentive staff. When in Nakano and you are feeling like Okinawan gotta go! I`ll surely be back.
