NAKANO: Fujisoba for their least expensive dish I think... 240 yen mini curry! (SONY RX100)

Just wanted something to old me over and gave the240 yen mini curry a try!

All push button so might have to brush up on your Japanese... but there are some plastic food items in the outside display.

All self serve at Fujisoba. Take your ticket to the counter and the food is prepared.

OMG... this curry is so lack luster.   The flavor was mild and had a few bits of potatoes.  I would have to say this might be an alternative to McD's.

Hmmm... Think I will stick to Coco Curry for my budget curry rice needs.

ROPPONGI: Hanamaru Udon... so new and definitely a spot you can chill, chat on a budget. (Canon G9X)

Was heading to my favorite Kebab spot but I noticed a new Hanamaru Udon in the same building.

In the past I just doubled up on toppings but ultimately the deliciousness comes from the flavor of the soup and the texture of the noodles... Went with NOOOO toppings Medium size for a super wallet friendly 230 yen.  Thats like US$ 2 dollars.

Don't get distracted by all the extra toppings unless you are on holiday.

One chef was preparing everyones order.

Free topping area.

And BOOM! Free tempura chips along with chunks of onion tempura!  Why pay for toppings when this definitely does the trick.

Medium 230yen bowl was quite massive!  There is way more noodle than soup.

Tokyo can be insanely wallet friendly in terms of dining so if you are here on a budget and need filling meal you gotta check out a Hanamaru near you.

HARAJUKU: Nomura soba noodles and sake... very cozy and nice.

Invited to dinner with 2 colleagues... old times like soba buckwheat noodles.

Random sign... guess they want foreigners to enjoy too.

Fresh seasonable veggies with a great sauce...

Seasoned fish slices.

Fish Tempura! YUM!

I've only tried rare chicken twice in my life... slightly grilled on the outside.

The sake always comes in a different glass.  Starts from 650yen.

Counter seating with perfect view of the chef and kitchen.

Todays special buckwheat noodle menu!  3 different types.

Noodles made in house.

3 types... 3 very distinctive firmness.

Dipping sauce.

After you eat all the noodles add this buckwheat water to the sauce... its almost like ramen soup.

Overall its a cozy place but nothing on the menu will really fill you up unless you plan to spend big bucks ordering everything.
