NOGATA: McDonalds... the only item that has not been affected by inflation. 200 yen Supa-Chiki aka Spicy Chicken Sandwich. (Sony RX100)

There was a time when McD`s offered burgers for 60yen... then they moved it into the 100 yen menu ($1 Menu) and now its a whopping 170 yen!  Even the chicken crisp sandwich went up from 100 yen to 180 yen..

These are the least expensive burger options at McD`s now.  The only item that has not been affected by any price increases is the Supa-Chiki.. holding at 200 yen for some reason.  Thats all me!

The Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The sauce is a very creamy sweet and kinda Sriacha spice flavor.  Its sooooo delicous!  The only item I buy consistently at McDs.  

If in Japan just say Supa-Chiki Kudasai and hand them 2 silver coins ne!

NOGATA: Standing Izakaya... I can`t find it on Google Maps. Super friendly folks and an awesome chef/bartender. (Sony RX100)

Starting to explore Tokyo a bit more since all Covid19 restrictions are lifted! Randomly walked into this semi-standing izakaya.

2 friendly regulars chatting me up.. 

Then talked to 2 ladies who just came back from studying at University of Sand Diego... you never really know who is bilingual in Japan.

The super friendly chef.. had to get him a few drinks.  In Japan its ok to get the staff drinks.

If you visit Nogata area please check it out! I`ve passed by multiple times but think the night I went in had the most ladies drinking.  Will update the exact location once I figure out the Google Maps.

NOGATA: Newly opened Kebab Sando! In times of after covid and high Inflation the Chicken Kebab was only 350 yen! (Sony RX100, iPhone X)

What! 350 yen for a Kebab after all this Covid Inflation! Im in! 

This was formerly friendly Doy Doy Kebab with 500-600 yen price points. 

Super friendly chef.  But the heat coming out of this small shop was overwhelming... staff must have been so hot.  

A bit dry but for the price its great... the sauce makes it very flavorful.

McDonalds or Kebab or Beef Bowl?  I say Kebab Sando.

Very vast drink menu.

Mikan (Orange) Hi for starter. 

OMG! They have Romanée-Conti wine for 4.5 million yen! I mean if I was paying for this it would probably have to be in a posh restaurant with a live piano player rather than a budget izakaya.  Its all about the atmosphere.

Menu had a date... April 19th. Cool.

On the board in the back is a hand written menu... this was the recommended 500 yen seafood platter.

These tiny squids have somewhat hard eyeballs and inside the body a piece of cartilage... fortunately they pulled out the cartilage with mini plyers.  Its great with beer! 

Slices of sashimi

A minced mob of fish... asked the waitress what it was but forgot the name.

Sashimi often sits on a bed of white radish... just add a bit of shoyu and enjoy.

One of my fav izakaya items... Motsu-nikomi with Tofu.  Will have to try the boiled egg option next time.

Add a little Shi (7) Chimi spice. 

Now on the hunt for some cheap stuff

Corokke made to order 110 yen!  Nicely crispy on the outside and hot on the in.

Basically mashed potato with minced meat... a fav!

This was the absolutely the best deal... Arajiru Fish soup for only 110 yen.  There was quite alot of white fish meat in there.  A MUST!

Back to the 330 yen HI menu... There is Yuzu, Sudachi (lime) and Mikan (Orange).

Closed with a Sudachi Hi drink.  

Always a favorite pairing with Beeru... Pork Kimchee (Buta-Kimu)

I was seated directly in front of the register so just asked the staff what I wanted to order... but there are these tiny order sheets to write orders.  

When you are done place all your plates back on the counter ledge.

They are opening a brand new branch in Kichijoji! I might have to check it out on May 1st.

Overall if you order with a smile the staff lights up and are really friendly.  There are about 5 tables along the wall and rest is counter seating. FYI smokers everywhere.
