AKASAKA: Ichiryou Korean Lunch... so nice but hit with a 1,620yen bill! I guess it was a special soup....

Checked the tabelog foodie rankings and hit up Ichiryu... but instead of going to 5F I just assumed it was the store on the 1st floor... oh no! My 800 yen lunch doubled.

This was the only menu I saw and it was rather pricey... but looking around everyone seemed to be eating the same soup so I just pointed and said I'll take the same.

All this for meeeeeee! Yum!

Kimchee so flavorful and delicious.

There were 2 men cooks and 2 waitresses... they were always smiling and chatting away. Seems like a great working environment.

The Sorurontan soup arrived!

A few sips and the soup was quite bland almost flavorless...

The cuts of tender beef inside the soup was sooooo tasty.

Then filled some clear rice noodles.

Looks like a Kpop superstar was here.

Loved it but of course I did it was 1,620yen! OMG... thats quite pricey for lunch in Tokyo.

Oh nearby the Civic Type-R prototype was on display!

NSX or Ferrari? Yeah... Ferrari for me.

NAKAMURABASHI: France-Tei for a ho-hum hamburgaaa lunch set... hmm...

Who doesn't love steak and Japanese burgers (hamburgaaaa not hamburger).

Wandered into a franchise spot France-Tei

Lots of pictured lunch options and you can select different size rice for free,

Went for the hamurgaaaa with garlic sauce.

Not too big,..

The burger came out after a few minutes of my order.  I think all these burgers are prepared in microwavable packets then placed on the hot plates for a bit.  It just tasted like they didn't make it fresh in the shop.  Hmmm....

SAPPORO SUSUKINO: Ramen Shingetsu for a refined super oishii Shio (salt) ramen to close the evening... sooo good!

My final night in Sapporo and to close out the evening the 4 of use headed to Shingetsu for a light but  so refined 710yen shiyo ramen.

Orders are taken while in line.

All counter seating but as we were 4 the waiter was kind enough to wait for 4 seats to clear before seating us or anyone else in line.

Charity box on the counter.  Counter seating... customers just left but there was a line of at least 15 Japanese and Asian Tourists outside.

I'm a fan of thick Tonkotsu ramen because I love the deep flavor but this shio had a deep super refined tasty flavor in a different way... as Japanese get older they tend to shift to Shoyu or Shio ramen.

Think curly chijiri-men noodles.

Soup was soooo tasty that we didn't leave a single drop.

If near Susukino Station then you gotta give this a try... it was 11:30pm and we waited about 15 minutes to get 4 people seated.

SAPPORO: Izayoi Yumekura Seafood Izakaya for some fabulous fresh Oysters!

Went with my friends family to Sapporo and the father-in-law took us to one of his favorite Izakaya's for the freshest oysters in Japan.  

1st floor is all counter seating

Then in the basement there is a counter area for couples.

And we were seated here... looks abit darker than it actually was because my SONY RX100 lens wasn't as bright as the recently dropped Canon s120.

There was a mini kitchen in B1.

The walls are lined with 800 bottles of Japanese sake... and 800 varieties! WOW.

The oysters are labeled by region.... my friend who is a huge oyster fan and travels globally said this was hands down the best he has ever had.

Had to share this with 4 people so wasnt able to try my favorite Tuna Maguro.

Closed with seasoned ikura.

One shoyu is for the Sushi and the other for something else... Wish I could have tried more Sushi but we were saving a little room for Sapporo Ramen!
