OYAMA STATION: Funachu Yakitori for late night discounted chicken wing and one Corokke... hmmm... its a pass. (iPhone Xs)

Passed by around 8:30pm and there were just 2 items left on sale. 150 yen for a chicken wing and potato corrokke... and 5 sticks of Yakitori for 350 yen. 

Went for the 150 yen chicken wing and corokke... 

Overall I think this potato corokke is sourced from the a commercial supermarket that sells in bulk because the texture was kinda dry.. I mean there were no potato chunks.  And of course chicken should aways be eaten freshly made or its just too cold and the chicken skin tooo chewy.  Overall for 150 yen was it a hit or mis... I say a miss.  BUT! Im sure the freshly grilled Yakitori here must be good.

KICHIJOJI: Yakitori Izakaya Shochan... Filled with so many regulars and young ladies. Jalapeno Cheese Jalapeno was pretty good!! (iPhone Xs)

Kichijoji isnt only about the huge Shopping Arcade or Harmonica Yokocho but if you wander around there are little spots filled with regulars.

Chicken skin!  I prefer mine more crispy... a bit too chewy.

The damage for 2.  Overall this place was mostly regulars and alot of young ladies.  There is counter seating so if you dine solo Im sure someone will chat you up.  Can get very busy so a hit and miss to get seated.  First post using my iPhone Xs... what do you think vs the Sony RX100?

EKODA: Yakiniku No Tetsujin Hinata is back! But no longer called Tori (bird) no Tetsujin... 1,650 yen menu shrunk. (Sony RX100)

A good friend and I always use to visit Tori-no-Tetsujin for their amazing all you can eat and drink for only 1,500 yen that included 1 draft beer but the Shakuji Koen branch closed down and the Ekoda branch was renamed to Yakiniku-no-Tetsujin.

There are 2 sections to the restaurant. The back has tables and entrance area take off your shoe seating.

Its been years but the menu was pretty much all Yakitori but also lots of Yakiniku Options.

Our 1,650 yen plan included everything in the far left column... the vegetable selection really shrunk.

Only 4 types of veggies included in the plan.  Don't let the prices here fool ya.. they gave just a few slices that must have cost the shop about 10-20 yen.

Think they started this system to cut down on staff.

Initial plate comes out automatically with 2 or 3 types of meats including chicken.

Charcoal grill,

Eringi mushroom and onions.

Yup.. this chicken neck was not me! It was really crunchy and chewy. 

Overall the food is rather junky and I kinda thing everything is imported except for the veggies.  If you are a heavy drinker then totally recommend this spot otherwise its crazy smokey and food rather lowly.
