SanGenJaya: パンケーキママカフェ VoiVoi for Pancakes, service sucked balls. 東京初最悪なカスタマーサービス

Recently started exploring Sangenchaya and decided to rely on Japan's most famous Foodie Website for a spot in Sangenchaya. Saturday afternoon.. why not try some tasty looking pancakes!  パンケーキママカフェ Pancake Mama Cafe VoiVoi was ranked #19 for Sangenchaya and we were off.  Cute shop, nice interior (nearly all women customers, a good sign) and the pancakes looked great... but then it was all down hill.  We were seated at the entrance counter (4 seats) facing the kitchen.  Not much of a view... the female waitress was next to Mari so she asked if we could move to a table in the back when it opened up.  Seemed like a simple request... but the waitress without a smile said we don't allow customers to change seats once they are seated.  Dude... we just sat down.  I didn't hear the response and noticed a table open up a few minutes later... then the waitress guided a new customer to the table.  WTF.  Don't mind paying 1,300 yen for pancakes in a friendly atmosphere but this was a bit much. Left the water untouched and we walked out.  If you don't mind your loved ones being treated rudely then please visit this spot... otherwise I highly recommend you don't go.  There are way too many friendly spots in Tokyo to waste your time here.

SHIBUYA: (CLOSED) Pancakes with a twist at JOYTIME

You just can't get pancakes this good anywhere in Tokyo... and prices are just too reasonable.
Starts at 180yen...but more details in my previous post:

Anyways I ordered Pancakes, Egg and Bacon for 290yen... but didn't know it would arrive in Sandwich form. Spread my butter, added some syrup... this was good! A must try pancake sandwich.

For an additional 100yen you can add a drink to your order.
They have Florida's Natural Orange Juice too!

Interior was a bit Italian themed but no pasta to be found.

SHIBUYA: (CLOSED) JOYTIME. Affordable pancakes in Tokyo!

Ever try and hunt down some pancakes in Tokyo without paying way too much for mediocre pancakes. Sure you could hit up Dennys for your craving but don't think you'll leave happy.  Mari introduced me to JOYTIME in Shibuya.  Odd name but its a full on old skool Japanaese family restaurant.  Hidden away in the basement of a building that very few foreigners will wander by.. but the place was full with young college students and senior citizens... i had the pleasure of watching one dig for gold way up in his nose... now this was with his wife sitting in front of him.  2 pancakes, butter and syrup for 120yen... other than making it at home you won't find a better deal plus for an additional 100yen you can order a drink (vs @150-170 on its own).  I don't know if the low price added to its appeal but you definitely have to check out the atmosphere in this place... not a foreigner in sight.  On top of that some of the items on the menu are ridiculously cheap (for Tokyo) compared to other family restaurants.
