EKODA: Tenkaippin Ramen... muddy thick flavorful broth! Plus side of Kimchee bowl, yum! (SONY RX100)

Friday night and Tenkaippin Ramen has daily combo specials... but you can never miss with ramen here.  Always yum.

On the top left corner are the daily combo specials

Very spacious counter seating area.

Free items on the counter.

A little spicy miso if you like for your ramen.

Only staffed by 2 folks... a chef and waitress.

So Tuesday and Friday special is a bowl of ramen plus Kimchee rice bowl.  Daily specials in Japanese is called "higawari"

Oh my... this kimchee was soooo flavorful.  Most kimchee in Japan have very light flavoring.

Noodles are chewy which I always prefer.

The soup very muddy and so flavorful.  If you have any left over rice just dip it inside.

There are a few ramen spots that consistently satisfy... Ichiran, Afuri, Ippudo and Tenkaippin. There are quite a few in Tokyo so please give it a try!  Won't disappoint.

NERIMA-KASUGACHO: Jyu Jyu Kalbi's generous 999 yen all you can eat Yakiniku and sides! (SONY RX100M2)

I often ride my bike by this 2 floor building with Chinese franchise Ba-miyan and Jyu Jyu Yakiniku Kalbi but never ventured inside.

But I was here for the 999 yen all you can eat lunch special!

The 999 yen 80 minute all you can eat lunch!

Lots of semi-private booths

Kimchee, salad and annin tofu sweet dessert.

Drink bar for an extra 200 yen but water is free.

Got some curry rice, kimchee and seaweed soup.

This is the 1st dish that comes out automatically.  I believe it was several types of pork slices and some chicken.

My 2nd dish!  Favorite was the thinly sliced pork that was most tender.  But the Jyu Jyu Kalbi that looked really delicious had a long piece of fat extending along the meat... it was so hard to bite into, just too chewy.

The additional non yakiniku type of items... Went for the cabbage.

They have an expansive University student course for 2,000 yen.

3rd dish and final... thinly sliced pork.

The tablet ordering system will alert you that 10 minutes are left in your 80 minute course.

Sweet annin tofu

1 minute left!

Overall the value it amazing because you can eat sooooo much meat for only 999 yen but on the other end the quality of meat isn't top shelf so at some point you just get tired of eating boring meat... I mean how many dollar burgers can you eat at McD's?   BUT if you have a family then kids under 5 are free and elementary kids are half off!
