Trying to kill a few minutes before dinner and stumbled upon Niku No Maekawa. Lots of retired old folks, salarymen and a few OL's cramped into a very tiny butcher.
Standing room outside.
Lots of Yakitori Selections in the chilled showcase.
Menu. All the yakitori was around 100yen.
Ordered some seasoned pork slices.
Rather fair... Canned 350mm Kirin Beer was 300yen. Think its like 200 yen at the supermarket.
Just help yourself and pay at the register.
Very old place... mirror was all foggy... gold reflective ceilings had some fancy almost night club looking lights.
The yakitori chef busy on her iPhone! All the staff here were Chinese ladies.
Got my annual heath check at the friendly Shin Akasaka Clinic thats actually located in Roppongi's Lower Building... and it came with 1,000 yen lunch coupon.
So decided to head to TGIFridays for lunch and spotted Chili Meat Burger on the menu... why not!
Burger came out and what a mess it was but the volume is very very generous as it also came with a lunch salad. Burger just too huge to bite evenly and started fall apart all over the place... ended up using a fork and knife.
Special sauce and Chili Meat (no beans).
I think they use frozen meat pattys here. The same stuff you can get at Costco for your home BBQ. Texture was rather dry and flavorless.
U shaped counter seating was great but smoking is allowed here so it might be a hit and miss according to who you are seated next to. Overall the music was great, restaurant kinda spacious and friendly service... if you miss America why not go!
Spotted Magnum P.I.'s Ferrari 308 GTS across the street! Sweet.
