ROPPONGI HILLS: Hills Cafe Space... Art Night Events! 500yen drinks!

Day 1 of Roppongi Art night and there were some music and art events held at the Hills Cafe.

This is an awesome space used for all kinds of events.

Drinks a reasonable 500yen.

EBISU: Motel Bar has an awesome 300 yen Happy hour from 5-7pm!

Finished up a meeting and needed a spot to talk to a colleague.

Low and behold... Motel's sweet 300yen Happy Hour!

Nearly had the entire space to ourselves.

DJ Music playing in the background... it was quite dark so not the perfect spot for a business meeting.

If you are in Ebisu hit up the Happy Hour or just go anytime to chill at the bar and listen to some great music.  Usually a friendly crowd here.

EBISU: Patisserie Les Annees Folles Bakery... beautiful little shop staffed with quite a few people

It was nearing 10pm and I needed to grab something for a home party... all the liquor shops were closed so no wine.  Luckily found this little bakery.

So many great looking pastries and cakes.

It was either the 3,000 yen apple pie or 2,500yen roll cake.

Party girl said she didn't like apple... so its Roll!

Easter items.

On the way to the party I noticed this guy with a big afro! Had to get a pic.

What a view... wish I could live here.

AOYAMA ICHOME: Menya Smith Ramen... hmm... chicken broth with very thing al'dente noodles. Not my style.

This is one of the very few ramen restaurants near my office in Aoyama-Ichome... there are always people dining here so on a Thursday night I decided to give it a try.

Pay before you enter.

If lost of course push the top left corner button... but I wanted the steamed egg so pushed the button right next to it.

Long spacious wood counter seating with tables at the windows.

A nice very creamy chicken broth soup.

Tender slices of boiled chicken.

Super thin al'dente noodles... I'm a huge fan of chunky chew ramen noodles like Ramen Tetsu

If you want to source these noodles just call here!

Overall not my style... I'm still into thick chewy noodles with a muddy broth.

But unusually alot of women dining here... so maybe good to take your girl who is craving Ramen.
