IKEBUKURO: Beer Pub Camden for a lunch burger and Brew Dog IPA Hardcore! What a nice cozy craft beer spot!

Burger menu starts at a very reasonable 750yen with little potato wedges.

I usually start with the most basic but totally missed the Chili Burger offering for 980yen! UGH!!

Super friendly waiter suggested a few different beers... but he said his first meeting with Brewdog Hardcore IPA was truly memorable.  Ok i'm sold~

Panasonic Lumix LX5 vs SONY RX100.  Beer is never really dynamic for me but this had such a nice deep flavor on many levels.  Liked it alot.

My 750yen Burger! Bun was incredibly firm and toasted... the burger kept its shape the whole time.  Unsure if it was a pre-processed meat patty but honestly it was just ok at best.  The special sauce was extremely tasty though.

The other 2 recommendations...  Higumakoi Stout

And Robinsons Old Tom.

Great music on the BGM, very comfy cozy interior, super friendly waiter and I must just have to bring my Craftbeer buddys here extremely soon.

ROPPONGI: Lady Gaga's favorite sushi spot! Sushi Zanmai for some friendly chunky meaty akami "red tuna"!!

I rarely goto Sushi Zanmai these days because I just like to friendliness of Gatten Sushi just around the corner.  How can you not support a merry-go-round sushi franchise that did their very best to open up in rent expensive Roppongi... but anyhoo I thought I'd visit a place that Lady Gaga frequents when she visits Tokyo.

But I was all about the Akami... the most very basic 128yen tuna.  They say you can judge the quality of a sushi based on their simple red tuna because its a given that chu-toro and oo-toro is always delicious.

A friendly smile... quick chit chat with the sushi chef and these chunky pieces of 128yen sushi arrived!  Always smile folks... Makes a difference in volume :)

My 2nd order wasn't so chunky but just as good.

No sake.. no beer.. just akami this night.  Normally its very full but just lucky that I was able to have so much space to myself.  A must!!

GAIENMAE: Isomiya Tempura... I'm hooked on this massive Tempura lunch set! Mom&Pop shop

A few weeks back I had a forgettable greasy experience here for the Tempura "Ten-Don" bowl with the each piece of tempura dipped in sauce then placed on a bowl of rice.  It just didn't work for me.

... to avoid all the smokers who love to eat here!

Lots of sake bottles on keep... guess they have a nice dinner following.

The photo doesn't do it justice but I'm sure there were 10+ different kinds of tempura and the rice was gigantic!  

One giant shrimp, squid, fish, a round tempura with lots of little shrimps and a whole bunch of veggies.

Yup, a huge portion of rice!  Never can finish this.

For 1,000yen this place really can't be beat and you will be incredibly stuffed.  Just be aware of the smokers that puff away during the lunch rush.
