AKASAKA MITSUKE: Hitori Shabu Shabu Matsugoro I was the first on a Typhoon #14 Saturday for Wagyu Lunch! (Sony RX100)

If I had to just recommend 1 restaurant with an amazing cost performance it WOULD BE Matsugoro`s 980 wagyu shabu shabu lunch.  Its just suuuuuch a value!

Wide selection of kuroge wagyu, beef and pork mix or just pork.

Veggies might be seasonal... got a lot more this day than my previous visit.

You have a choice of ponzu and sliced Japanse onions (negi) or sesame seed dip (goma).

Lots of bowls for lunch goers.

Look at that beauty!  Today`s meat all like this... last time there were fatty portions hidden beneath the normal wagyu slices slices.

Great interior.

For lunch you only have an option for ponzu or goma dip... but for an additional 100 yen I added the sesame seed dressing with garlic chips and hot chili oil.

Way on the bottom of the menu are the extra dip (plus 100 yen) or extra ramen choices.

The ramen broth... just add 7-8 scoups of the shabu shabu water to this then boil your ramen noodles for 3 minutes.

What a perfect way to end an amazing lunch.  As usual the staff was incredibly attentive and polite, the counter seating is soooo single diner friendly and the design of this restaurant is beautiful.  Hate to blog twice about this restaurant but its a MUST!!
