SHIINAMACHI: Gyoza No Mansyu for their top 2 performers featured on Japanese TV! Budget 3pm Lunch! (SONY RX100)

Japanese seem to love food shows and about a week ago Gyoza No Ohsho was featured!  So I had to try out their top two dishes #1 (Gyoza - Pot Stickers) and #2 Fried Rice.

#2 Fried Rice!

The standard Gyoza lunch set with the option of brown rice is 400 yen.  If you want the Fried Rice combo its 650 yen plus tax.

Not many around at 3pm. Lots of family friendly space.

First time to see 2 Indian ladies in the Kitchen.  Lots of Japanese restaurants are getting very international but most are from Southeast Asia.

A few bites and its a very fluffy fried rice.  I mean it tasted like normal fried rice... I think its uncommon for Japanese households to make fried rice so they tend to order it at restaurants.

Gyoza is made to order and hot!

Of course the gyoza wrap is a little thicker and nicely chewy. LIKE!

Overall if you love Gyoza this is a must try franchise!  Annual sales nearly US$900 million!

  1. How do you eat the rice?
To me, it seems like I am cheating if I ask for a fork or spoon to finish eating the rice.
