EBISU: The Legend of Din Tai Fung for lunch! Lowly foodie ranking but hit the spot!

Finally had a chance to visit The Legend of Din Tai Fung in Ebisu!  Super lowly ranked by foodies in Tokyo but after so many great meals in Hong Kong I had to go!

Lunch menu with selections from 1,200 yen to 1,772 yen.

Colleague went for the Hot and Sour Noodle Soup Combo for about 1,400 yen.

This was me... the most expensive item on the lunch menu 1,772 yen!  Had to splurge a little after having spotted the shrimp.

The tiny shrimps were plump and so clean... no black poop line across the back.

Noodles were thin but nice and chewy... the soup with just enough flavor.  Guessing there was about 150 grams of noodle so it won't stuff you.

Loved the 2 tiny semi-spicy seasoned cucumbers.

Its been about 4 months since my last visit to Hong Kong and I totally forgot what the real XiaoLongBao tasted like.

The outer wrap was super thin, held alot of juice on the inside and super tender.

Alcohol Menu! They have Taiwan Beer didn't have my favorite Blue Girl Beer thats served in Hong Kong.

Restaurant was clean, huge windows and comfy.  A great place to take your time and enjoy some food...  Thought its lowly ranked if you don't want to fly out to HK or Taipei well its definitely worth it.
