KANDA: Yotteke (酔ってけ) Yakitori/Kushiyaki for a few 280yen beeru's

Just one station over is Tokyo Station with its very posh Hi-Rise A-Class office buildings that include the Marunouchi area and posh restaurants with prices to match.. but neighboring this central Tokyo district is the tiny station of Kanda thats filled with small salaryman Izakaya's, Pachinko Parlors and Crows (guys in black suits/trench coats) trying escort you into hostess clubs...

Our search for some cheap beer led us to Yotteke (pretty sure this means get tipsy/drunk and leave)... 280yen for drafts was a good lure.  Otoshi (small appetizer) is always included when you order alcohol at Japanese restaurants.

Potato salad...

Noticed they carried Okinawan Awamori... and especially Awa-Moe!  Though I didn't try any it is on my list.

First spotting of Awa-Moe on The Okinawa Times Youtube Channel

Burner for the Yakitori...

Kushi-Age dipping sauce

5 kinds of mixed Kushiage for 580yen.

Bonjiri (chicken butt), negi and pork I think... Chicken butt may sound odd but its very juicy, tender with a hint of crispy on the outside and quite addictive...

Long counter seating in the entrance and there are tables in the back... friend commented it was extremely smokey back there so I suggest sticking to the counter.

Give Kanda a try if you are ever in the Tokyo Station area... lots of tiny shops and it will only take you 5-10 minutes to scope out the are before selecting an interesting Izakaya.
