OKINAWA SAKAEMACHI ARCADE: Sakaemachi-Sakaba Omoro-Bokujyo Izakaya with 80`s New Wave! (Sony RX100)

The Sakaemachi Arcade is a great local spot thats just a few minutes away from Naha yet there seem to be less tourists dining here.  First stop this night was a random Izayaka but quite empty due to Coronavirus.

Okinawan friend poured the Orion Beer like a Kilkenny...  he said the foam has more alcohol content than the actual beer.  Interesting.

Automatic Otoshi appetizer was tofu.

Harami Beef!  It was very tough and kinda suspicious... friend was calling this cat or dog.  Of course he was joking but for only 350 yen how can you complain.  I only had 1 piece.

Tofu Champuru... we would later realize the chef was actually a 80`s New Wave DJ!  I don`t think he had any formal culinary training.

This is what Covid19 does to Okinawa... nobody goes out.

The Twist & Shout 80`s bar where the Chef spins at is currently closed but when they reopen you gotta go!

Now for a little Awamori Sake!  Only 300 yen.

Okinawan Awamori come in large beer mugs with water and ice due to the high alcohol content.   Seemed like a very generous portion to me.

Overall this place is nice to chill and listen to 80`s new wave music on the BGM.  But as for the food if you can`t get the simple things right then I would guess everything else is rather mediocre.
