EBISU: Kimukatsu for the most basic 1,000 yen tonkatsu lunch selection... Kinda too Oily Greasy but generous tabehoudai on the extras.

A fan of Kimukatsu for years during a time that I lived in Ebisu. Was in the area and just had to go again.

Lots of menu items from about 1,000 to 2,000 yen but in the very lower corner you will spot the lunch special for only 1,000 yen.

Oh, the most amazing thing here is the cabbage, miso soup, tasty rice and pickles are all you can eat!  Just keep reordering if you want to.

Thats all me!

This one with alot of tasty things in the middle was a pricey 1,980 yen.

So much rice!

What differs this spot from most Tonkatsu restaurants is that they use layers of pork.  If you look closely you can see it.

Overall the value was great but the tonkatsu was extremely overly greasy... it left a film of oil on my lips the whole time.  Very unusual to experience this and unsure why.  But this day the lunch crowd was filled with young Japanese, tourists and the businessman lunch goers.
