EBISU: Daikantei Shabu Shabu Restaurant... absolutely fantastic! Friendly Mom and Pop shop.

Dinner with the Hydro Flask team in Japan and this restaurant selection was spot on fabulous. Run by an elderly husband and wife team... wow...

We had the course dinner... but it was an assortment you would never expect.

First came out the grilled fish.

2nd item was sashimi... yum.

3rd selection Yakitori and the chicken is a brand name from a famous region specializing in chickens.

Then followed by stunningly tender shabu shabu!

Really... just shabu shabu for 2-3 seconds and you are done.  Incredibly tender!
The water needs to be heated to exactly 70 degrees.

Then we ordered another helping!  I was sooo stuffed we passed our portion to the far end of the table.  Oh my... soooooo good.

To close we had Peaches... a very rare tiny peach only served for special occasions.
It almost looked like a plum (ume).

Blurry pic of the wife... super kind and always aware of empty drinks.

It came out to about 10,000 yen per person with lots of beer and bottles of wine but well worth it.
Cozy restaurant with only 4 tables so make reservations in advance as the owner needs to source the ingredients for the course.
