OOSAKI: Yakiniku Koyo... highly ranked old skool Yakiniku with the grandma's original oil painting on all the walls.

Company dinner! Yeah! A very very popular Yakiniku spot that has been around for years... Reservations are possible except for Fridays.

Lots of oil paintings by the old lady owner.

We arrived at 6pm and there was only 1 couple here.

This place is so busy that the meat is brought in fresh daily and the owner mentioned there was no need to hit up the expensive meats as the regular ones are just as good.

Cow Tongue fairly tender

My absolute favorite was this Harami Beef.  Very thick pieces but so super tender... kinda reminded me of beef tenderloin.   Next time I will only order this one!
(Regular Harami 1,700 yen Special Harami 2,200 yen)

Kalbi...

Stamina Plate... filled with liver and stomach parts!
I am not a fan of super chewy offal that takes forever to bite apart.

Regular draft beers and large bottled beers 650yen.

Those stomach offal parts were so fatty the grill started flaming!

Sweet tomato 400 yen and a dish of squid.

Korean pancake chijimi... hmm... ho hum... 800yen. A pass.

Stained glass over the kitchen entrance.

Now for all the oil paintings.  The elderly mama-san now puts in a 12 hour shift and has no time to paint anymore. Osaki Station area has developed tremendously with so many new office buildings so there is a steady stream of diners every night.

Unfortunately dessert menu was so sad... just 3 choices and one was vanilla ice cream.

I would like to say I'll be back but you sure do pay for the quality they serve up here.
Will be back again for a business dinner but highly unlikely to go out of my way to Osaki just for this... Mata ne!
