NERIMA: Bonísimo Ramen-Ya... um... exsqueeze me... no Bonisimo Sir Chef~

Scored an easy 350yen Abura-Soba (soupless ramen) coupon for 50% off an why not I occasionally pass this spot on my way to Muscle Gym so gave it a try~

Fish based soupless ramen...

Ramen 650 yen... very reasonable price point.

Very long L shaped counter plus a few seats in the back right next to the large TV.

No goodies on the tables... no free toppings... no red spice... just gyoza shoyu and black pepper.

Lone chef at work...

My ramen arrived and visually I wasn't impressed... it just looked very No-Bonisimo~.  A few bites and the fish based oil was overwhelming... almost like he poured in some Thai Fish Oil.

Noodles were boring... but there is a tiny bit of creamy soup on the very bottom of the bowl.  Mix this very well in order to smooth out the very fishy flavor.  Honestly after a few bites I wanted to stop eating... just can't justify putting on ramen carbs if its not good.

This place is always empty...  I've never seen a line... and well I guess the flavor of the soupless ramen reflects this.  A friend of mine had the regular ramen and he wasn't impressed also.  I won't be back my friends! Especially with Ramen Dai, Hagan, Yamano and Jiro offering better ramen for the same price.

ROPPONGI HILLS: Suntory 100yen mini-beers in the shadow of the SPIDER!

For a limited time SUNTORY has a pop up bar on the main level of Roppongi Hills... right next to the huge black spider. http://www.roppongihills.com/events/2014/05/rh_pbh/

Beers a super tiny but The Premium Malts beer is incredibly smooth.

Lots of young ladies enjoying beer on nice cool breezy Sunday evening.

ROPPONGI: Torikizoku Roppongi East Branch... waiter doesn't like to wash his hands... ugh.

I'm always a fan of budget yakitori at Torikizoku so decided to give their newer Roppongi East branch a try.... I rarely wander into this part of Roppongi... a bit seedy.

Huge beers for 280yen... and tiny gin tonics for 280yen...

One free daikon pickle when you arrive...

Everything is 280yen and all items are pictures...

Push button greeted us with a friendly Chinese waitress...

Had to give this new item a try... almost like boiled Singapore chicken rice without the rice.

And for sure always order this rice pot... takes about 30 minutes.

Big openings between booths... could see my neighbors lower body here.

And our other waiter... yup the guy who frequented the restroom without ever washing his hands.  There is always such a motley crew working at Torikizoku... its been on the news quite often that there is a lack of people willing to work in the fast food industry so many places have been shutting their locations.

Kind waitress Chinese, uncleanly waiter Japanese and the chef was Nigerian. Very international crew here.  But on a Sunday evening it was so unusually empty... I don't think I'll ever be back but if you need an alternative to TGIFridays, The Hub or Hard Rock Cafe this might be a nice quiet option.

Bob Sapp and Ferrari California spotting on my way to Torikizoku!

EBISU: Tsukumo 99 Tonkotsu Ramen... Parmesan cheesy ramen and gyoza!

When in Ebisu Tsukumo "99" Ramen is always a must!

The most popular ramen is the Cheese Ramen... lots of other options too.

Recommended side dishes...

Free seasoned bean sprouts "moyashi"

There it is!  Hefty layer of grated Parmesan cheese~.  Its just a friendly creamy tonkotsu soup and cheese mellows out the soup even more.  Its a fun change and I've only seen this style of ramen at Tsukumo.

Gyoza... think this was 450yen... a bit pricey.

Being Ebisu there is a nice young 20's late night crowd... lots of ladies.
