NAKANO: Cafe Bar Straw Hat for a great Hamburger Steak lunch value! They have BLUE MOON BEER!!

My initial target was the new CONA Pizzeria in Nakano... Shibuya Branch has a pizza, salad and drink for only 500yen!  But when I looked inside at noon it was empty... Pizza wa 500yen (28 Varieties) plus 200yen for drink/salad.  I can only assume that this 700yen price point is just too high for a town populated with soooo many tiny lunch spots.  So I waved farwell to CONA and tried my luck with Straw Hat. 

Only 3 choices! Hamburger lunch 700yen, curry lunch 700yen or hamburger with Curry Lunch 1,000yen.

Great portion of salad and two slices of tofu!

This hamburger was sooo juicy... "niku jiru" burger juice was just seeping out thru the sides.

So home made... spotted the older lady chef peeking out the kitchen with a smile.

All this for only 700yen!? Plus you can have free rice refills.  Pretty excellent deal...

Even comes with a small portion of seasoned white fish.

This place really hit the spot with a steady flow of salarymen coming in and out during my 30min stay.  If in Nakano and you are confused then for sure give this friendly bar restaurant a try!  Don't forget the BLUE MOON Beer.... seems they started carrying it about 6 months ago.
